With someone seated in the passenger seat unbelted, the Air bag lite is on and the seatbelt lite is Off. It appears the seatbelt lite is not working for the front passenger seat and the airbag lite stays on. What could be the problem?

The seat cushion has an occupant sensor. if it detects occupant and no buckle latch , it may see this as a fault. You may also have a switch failure in the buckle assembly as well.

SOURCE: Air Bag /Seat Belt Light

your owners manual will tell you how to reset it, and if the lite comes back on, one of your sensors is defective. a local auto mechanic can plug your car into a hand held computor and pin point exactly whats wrong. good luck.

It is integrated to a master computer . But in your case I think all these Problems are individual ,
1. For Inside room light , first thing to check is Fuses 2. A/C blower High Speed running can be because of a Faulty Potentiometer ( Regulator ) 3. Rear Blower Stuck at high speeds could be because of Misalignment .
My Solution above is not a definite advice until it is Physically inspected .

SOURCE: 2008 air bag light stays

There is no easy fix for this light. The light is lit to alert that there is an issue with the air bag system and will need an expeirence tech to find the cause.

SOURCE: air bag deployed and was

Hi.

After replacing the air bag, the air bag control module must be reset using a diagnostic tool available at the dealer and at Kia authorized garages. The tool is not a generic OBDII scanner but a DT-1 tool. See:Kia Diagnostic Tools.

If the reset has already been done and did not work, then the clock spring mounted between steering column and steering wheel has not been fitted correctly. In that case the steering wheel must be refitted correctly to the steering column with the clock spring at the neutral position or the air bag will not work properly. Below the picture of a Sedona clock spring:

Passenger seat belt warning stays on even with ignition off

Possible seatbelt latch problem. There are sensors in the latch part of the assembly that inform the restraint module as to what is happening. Sometimes foreign objects get stuck in the latch assemblies ( Children ) and can affect operation. Scanning the airbag module for codes will let you know what part of the restraint system is causing these lights to be on. As long as the airbag light remains on, the airbags will not deploy in the event of an accident

Seatbelts locked after minor collision

Your seat belts are tied in to your air bag system. Even though your air bags may not have deployed, your seat belt(s) have deployed a one-time use trigger designed to cinch you tightly into your seat in the collision you were in. There is no way to reset them, they will need to be replaced. A used, functioning seatbelt will work, but usually must be of the same year as your car, even if other years appear identical. The wrong year will appear to the on board computer as an error, and will not allow the system to be restored to functional (air bag light will not go off), even though now your seat belt will appear to function. If your air bag light stays on after the bulb-check sequence at startup, it means the system is disabled...the air bag will not function in a crash.

Pull the fuse it won't affect the seatbelts from working correctly. otherwise you have to disconnect each seatbelt lock to find the defaulted lock. As for the airbag light; do you have the type that can be turned off with a key? It may be permanently turn off and needs to be turned back on with the key.

Don't know what year model car you have. Some year models have a switch you can turn the passenger air bag off. Check you owners manual in the dash/controls section and the air bag section

On a 2006 volvo v50 the passenger front seat light indicates that the air bag is off

poosibly the seatbelt buckle clip on the side of the seat, if they have been tampered with or faulty, it can cause air bag 'issues'

I have a 2007 pontiac g6 the problem i'm having is when i'm driving and come to a stop at any speed the car starts to make a beeping sound and on the dash board seat belt air bag light up can you please...

sounds like the passenger classification sensor in the passenger seat is bad. depending on the mileage of your car this should still be under warranty take to a gm dealer and get it fixed for free. also when this happens look at the passenger airbag off light usually located of the rear view mirror of gm cars, if this light says "on" and no one is in the passenger seat that the sensor is definately bad or if you are a woman and have a heavy purse on the seat this will also cause this because the car thinks someone is sitting in the seat without a seatbelt on.

SRS light

Here's a quick check list for most common cost of SRS / Air bag problem.

Dirty contacts on driver and passenger seat belt buckles

Dirty contacts on seat belt connectors (under seats)

Dirty contacts on driver and passenger sides weight sensors (under seat)

Seat covers

Weight on passenger seat
(Example: grocery package trigger SRS / Air Bag light on the way home.)

I recommend you to pass an vacuum over the contacts and use CRC electronic parts cleaner to rule out connectivity problem.

I DO NOT recommend disconnecting the negative battery connector to clean the code(s).

Without the code(s) the dealer will takes "BILLABLE" time to reproduce the problem.

AIR BAG LIGHT AND CHIME RINGS PERIODICALLY

I have a 2002 jeep grand cherokee Limited and Had similar problem. Found out that a wire/connection harness had gotten cut under PASSENGER seat.from seats moving back and forth. It's part of the airbag system, it tells airbag system if seatbelt is fastened and if occupant is in seat. Since the wire is broken, it can't report back to air back system and activates the light. try this, hope it helps.

02 honda accord v6 SRS light on

SRS = Safety Restraint System. Work all your seatbelts, make sure they snap in & release properly. If you have the system where it detects someone in seat without belt on, may be a sticky switch under seat, may be able to fix it just by sitting in seat then getting out of it, or hitting seat cushion with hand, look for things like that. Also check owners manual for location of possible air bag fuse blown. If you can't cure it, stop at shop or dealer & have it checked, just in case it is airbag not working.

Seatbelt light on

There is a tiny switch under the **** area of the seat that tells the car someone is sitting there... and a tiny switch in the seatbelt CLICK mechanism. These only have 2 wires which go down to the floor, alongside the running board and up to the dash. The switch nder your **** is NormallyOPEN and CLOSES (makes contact) when someone weighing 50lb or more sits in the seat (smart huh) It could be bent, broken, come loose from its moorings or have a wire loose... At the same time, the passenger seat also has shcu a switch and it might be STUCK or shorted. Same for the seatbelt CLICK mechanisms on both sides. If you don't like loosening seat bolts, pulling up carpeting and removing the inside panels, etc. what we call 'troubleshooting'. find someone that does - or take it to a dealer.
