Problems with hydrolics on D4D hilux 2007

I replaced the slave and master cylinder on my hilux, and I cleaned the litel joint block where the hydrolics meet (the oring is new), but still in the morning my clutch paddle is halfway, and it has minimum pressure, and my second gear grates when I change gears, but after a few stops the clutch is good.

SOURCE: 02 Cruiser. Replaced clutch master cylinder cause

is the clutch power assisted(vacuum)?if so couldvery well have some bearing on what is happening.I WILL TELL YOU A STOREY.A couple of months ago I changed the clutch master cyl. on my land cruiser and because I do all my own work still I didnot obey the golden rule..3days later i changed the slave cyl...l again did not obay the golden rule...... 2 days later iagain pulled the master cyl off cleaned it all out, but this time I OBEYED THE GOLDEN RULE,WHICH IS::always change the brake fluid when ever you change amaster cylinder either brake or clutch or when I was doing work for other people,if the brakes were worked on or the clutch you drained the sytem and relaced the fluid...ANY COMMERCIAL WORKSHOP THAT DOES NOT DO THIS IS GOING TO HAVE COMEBACKS ..it may only be 5or10% but for a $5container of fluid it isn` t worth the chance I was in that5 or 10 % are you? that is true, not more than 3 months ago give it some thought ....................

SOURCE: clutch pedle went to floor and stayed I replaced

Yes, if the pressure plate is bad the clutch peddle can go to the floor and stay there.

Testimonial: "Thank you for your expertise I failed to tell you although the pedle returned to top it still doesnt release the clutch plate all the way "

SOURCE: Clutch pedal won't activate clutch. Why?

Thats really a toss up unfortunately. I assume you checked the fluid. Usually the slave cylinder will leak when it goes bad. Hope that helps.

Testimonial: "Replaced the Master cylinder first, no change, replaced the slave cylinder second, worked like a charm."

Clutch advice for 05 hilux seems to have no adjustments?

Have you tried bleeding the system. It is done in the similar way as bleeding brakes to remove air. If that doesn't fix it, it may well be in need of a new clutch.

Does Toyota hilux R150 gear box have a clutch adjustment ?ie master cylinder adjustment ?

If it is adjustable it will have a threaded push rod at the slave cyl ,bleed the hydraulic system first adult the clutch then bleed again .

Clutch has no pressure

If it has a hydrolic clutch, the slave cylinder may be bad. There may also be a leak in the system. There should be a seperate master cylinder for the clutch system if it has a hydrolic unit.

Clutch will not disengage

You should have a hydrolic system that is operated with a clutch slave(on the side of the trans) it could be leaking fluid or a clutch master cylinder under the hood next to the firewall. Check the reservoir and see if it is full with brake fluid. If not look to see if the clutch slave or the clutch master cylinder is leaking. Replace and bleed the system just like you would your brakes.

LOOKING FOR BLEEDER VALVE

Are you talking about the clutch? If so, it is on the front of the cylinder under some wires and stuff. Its a pain to get at but do-able. I used a 1/4 inch drive ratchet and mid depth socket when I replaced mine and had to bleed the system. If your having a problem with bleed down of the hydrolics replace the master and the slave. I did just the master and ended up replacing the slave too.

PEUGEOT 406 LX DT 1998 2088 CC CLUTCH SLAVE CYLINDER

I understand these cars have a sealed clutch system. When they fail you replace the whole kit master, hydrolic pipe and slave (comes in one piece). Search on ebay maybe £45 or so.

Clutch problem

Hi,
Check any flexible hoses used for condition, check clutch reservoir that it still contains fluid.

If it does, ask an assistant to press the clutch down fully - while you watch the liquid level. It should fall, then rise again when off the pedal. If it just stays put, you need new seals on the master cylinder.

If all the fluid is gone, but no obvious leaks, remove the slave cylinder, and replace the seals in that or replace with new unit.

it is possible that you just have a slight leak in the slave cylnder, allowing the fluid level to fall enough to allow air in the system giving the fault. Again, replace seals in slave cylinder, and refill with clean brake/clutch fluid, and bleed out the air using the bleed nipple on the slave cylinder.

Any reasonable garage will do this for you if access is difficult.

Thank you for using Fixya!
