I looked at wiring for the 2.8L engine. The relay should be under hood passenger side on strut tower, fender lining. If more than one relay and your not sure which is which, look at wiring diagram for fuel pump relay and compare wire colors.

You may need to wire a switch to the cut out. Since you "eliminated" it, its not going to rev. You need a closed circuit and should be able to create one via a switch, however I recommend consulting a local mechanic or other Fixya expert for a second opinion.
Well i bought a book we have a 2009. Doesnt show the wiring diagram to the knock sensor, ones on used engine are cut and dont know which ones to wire them up too . any other suggestions

Researched wiring diagrams for the fuel system on the 1004 Tiburon (4 & 6 clylinder engines). There is no fuel cut-off switch/circuit. There is only the fuel pump relay that supplies power to the fuel pump.
