The clicking sound is the starter solenoid (a relay) trying to connect the starter to the battery. This is normal when the battery is run down. the first thing to do is to see if you can charge the battery.
If you do not have a charger, see if you can borrow one. BTW, a small charger is a good thing to have, especially if lights or etc are left on and your battery is dead when its time to go to work. You can get a small one at a Walmart like store for a reasonable fee. Connect the red lead of the charger to the red (+) terminal of the battery and the black lead of the charger to the black (-) lead of the battery. Let it charge for at least 5 or 6 hours. Unplug the charger, disconnect it from the battery and try to start the car. It will probably start. At first opportunity, drive the car to one of the major auto parts stores like AutoZone and have them load test the battery. If you need a new battery, most stores will install it right there.
Hope this helps Good luck Loringh Please give me a rating Thks

the problem is with your ignition switch. to check it further, attach a piece of wire to the positive terminal of the starter and directly make contact with positive terminal of the battery. do this with the key in the ignition and on position.
