Try priming the engine, turn key to run possition, wait couple seconds for fuel pump to kick in, ( humming sound). turn key off... do that 7 times and should bring fuel to the thottle body, cuz you ran it dry there probaby no fuel in the lines

Check electric fuel pump operation ( located in the fuel tank ). Occasionally a fuel pump will burn out when running out of fuel, due to the fact the pump runs DRY for about 30 seconds till the fuel stops flowing out of the injectors, the engine quits, simultainously losing oil pressure which FINALLY shuts off the fuel pump. Sometimes TOO LATE. Hope this helps

Not really difficult. First , if you're doing it yourself, ideally on a lift., because to get the vehicle high enough with a jack and horses is as challange. Start with completely emptying the tank of fuel ( it will be a lot easier to manuver ). Basically the fuel hoses and electrical connectors are removed.Disconnect the filler neck hose. Remove straps securing tank and lower down. Removal of the locking ring securing the tank unit requirea special tool. Once tank unit is removed, attached will be the FUUL PUMP.

Mike fuel filter may be dirty and plugging after running tank so low or possibly fuel pump has now weakened and is failing. Have vehicle scanned o see if diagnostic codes are stored to help diagnose.

Was headed to gas station ran out before gettin there so i let it coast to the gas station put gas and car didnt want to turn on,2004 dodge neon thanks 4 ur help

turn the key on and off 3 times, wait a few seconds between doing this, it will give the fuel time to pump to the front of the vehicle and also build up the pressure it needs to start ( when turning the key on, Just turn it to the On position, Not all the way to the Start position

I have a 99 Pontiac Grand Prix GT and it won't start. i have determined that its not getting fuel. I replaced the blown fuel pump fuse, but I'm still not getting fuel. There is a fuel pump relay also,...

The no fuel problem is usually caused by a defective or bad fuel pump. The blown fuel pump fuse is actually pointing to the pump or circuit being bad.

Need to drop the tank, so let someone who has done it before do it, it's worth it.

Gasoline is kind of dangerous to deal with since it is extremely flammable and volatile.
