I have a 2000 nissan maxima and the check engine soon light is on almost all the time and the tcs and slip light come on sometimes. when the tcs and slip light come on and i go to stop my car it runs very ruff but it doesnt do that all the time. Do u know what the problem might be. I also just had a tune up and oil change done.

identify thru computer which cylinder is the culprete then check for injector winding problems, bad grounds , have your local tech check for t.s.b. on this problem? also have you replaced the plugs?

This wouldn't make the tranny slip. It is making abs kick on when it shouldn't. there is a faulty in the system, most likely abs system causing this. It should be broughten to dealer honestly and I am a mechanic tell you this. It may be bad pump or circuit. I would pull the abs fuse that is in the fuse center under hood most likely. This will prevent abs from locking up on your or quit working on you. Until you get it repaired

The oil change wouldn't cause this problem. Just in-case, check the engine oil level.

There are many emission sensors in the car that will make the engine light come ON. Best way to find out what's going on is to have an auto-parts store hook up a engine code reader and tell you what the code means. Most auto-part store will do this for free.
