My Toyota Cressida has about 130K miles, spark plugs were changed about 5 years ago and has less than 20K mlies on them. Recently, When I give gas during acceleration I very strong vibration with pop and around the 40 and 50 mpg it hesitates.
SOURCE: 1989 tOYOTA CRESSIDA sAPRK PLUGS WELLS. OIL IN THE SPARK WELL
The 7MGE has 2 separate valve covers/gaskets with 8 screws holding each cover that will loosen over time.
Find the phillips screws holding on the covers and retighten snugly by hand do not overtighten!
Pull plug boots/wires by the boot not the wire and use paper towels or rags on a long screwdriver etc to absorb the oil from the wells.
Carefully clean plug boots with spray brake cleaner (avoid spraying anything but the boot) and let dry.
Apply 100% silicone grease to inner boot before reinstalling to allow future removal without damage.
If your engine is particularly dirty you may need to remove the covers first and clean all mating surfaces then reinstall.
