1983 olds 98. I cant locate the blower fuse on fuse box. Is it located elsewhere?

in the blower box.
if dead, you cant hear it so cant find it. right>
the blower box is in center to passenger side of most cars. in the dash.
check fuses first.
does fan fail on High.?????

no diagram ,sorry , but usually located in the fuse/relay box in the engine compartment and the cover will have list of which is which

The fuse will be marked "htr A/C".It might be on the very top row of 2 fuses or it might be in the center next to "B/U horn". There is also a resistor on the heaterbox beside the heater motor that goes bad quite often. It could also be a worn out fan switch inside the car. I would replace the resisitor first.

Hello jameskoehler; my name is Roger and I will help you. You can locate the resistor by looking at the firewall. Locate the evaporator case halves. The right half should have the resistor located in it.the wire harness going to the resistor should have 4 or 5 wires in it. The resistor will be held in by two 5/16 screws and located on top of the evaporator case. Should you need further help please just ask. Please rate the answer you received. this is common the fuse is located in the fuse box but the common problem with these is the blower resisitor, this is located next to the blower and is screwed into heater box, a quick test is to check for power and ground to blower first and check fuses located under the dash on the driverside. also check under the hood in the engine compartment for another fuse/relay box hope this helps.

is it the fuse or the reley look at the salvage yard and find manule buy it for 5 bucks and locate the fuse if not fuse ask dealer for reley and location of reley

might be behind the glove box or under hood on firewall

Heater blower motor resister is bad, replace, located under dash above heater motor.

check the heater blower motor resistor not entirely sure where it is on your vehicle but they are always located near the fan in the heater box
you may also want to check the fan speed switch as well as the heater fuse in your fuse box
