I dont want to go to a mechanic my husband wants to fix they but we were told at Auto zone that I have 4 but I was told my another auto place I have 2 so which is it? Im so upset about this its stressing me out. PLEASE HELP!!!
Your car is equipped with a diagnostic system called OBD II. You can purchase a code reader and use it to find which O2 sensor is causing the problem. You probably have 4 sensors. 2 in front of the converter and 2 behind. The code reader will indicate something like "SEN 1 BANK 1." This means O2 sensor in front of the cat. on the side of the engine that contains cylinder 1. You may see "SEN 2 BANK 1" "SEN 1 BANCK 2" "SEN 2 BANK 2" Bank 2 indicates oppisite side of No.1 cylinder. Hope this helps
It should have 4 but why are you replacing them? Bad idea cause they rarely go bad. there are other problems that create o2 codes. Tune-up mostly, or vacuum leak, low fuel pressure, dirty maf sensor.

i can only find 2 sensors. one running from the bgack of the manifold before the cat and one right after the cat.
I compared it to my toyota corolla and found 3.
One by the oil filter, one off the manifold, and one right after the cat?
My car ONLY has 2 Oxygen Sensors!!!!
i had a *** done at an auto parts store. the os on the manifold im not sure im just taking the chance and hoping for the best because there was to codes on the *** for os1.
But for os2 the only error that showed was directly related to the os2.
Mainly this is the cheapest route so i am hoping for the best.
