Pass. side trailer turn and brake lights out 1999 ford explorer

I'm towing a trailer with a 1999 ford explorer limited v8 AWD. All lights turn signals and brake lights on the SUV work fine. Passenger side turn and brake light on the trailer doesn't work, although driver side works fine. Verified trailer bulbs/wiring good with another vehicle. Multimeter shows that there is no power to the green trailer wire lead that is supposed to power passenger side when brake/signal applied. Where's the fuse/relay that I need to check next? Is there a different fuse/relay for left and right side?

If your vehicle lights are working all the fuses will be good. follow the cable from the towing socket on your vehicle , it will most likely go behind one of the rear lights to connect into your cars system,
check your tester where the cables join and you should find the problem. hope this helps.

Need to hook uo a flat four trailer conector ,dont know ford

The rear lights :

Brown is the parking lamps ( either side )

Driver's side Stop / Turn : Light green w/ White stripe wire
Pass Side Stop / Turn : White w/ Light blue stripe wire

Another option ( for use with the factory trailer circuits ) is to add / replace the factory tow adapter. eTrailer has them, if you are interested. This is the type adapter as Ford p/n: YL3Z-13A576-G. You would need to install the relay and the fuses for the trailer circuits if you do this.

I am looking for the wire under the rear of my 99 explorer to hook up the wiring harness for trailer or boat. HELP

From the factory there is an unused plug in the left brake light harness. You can get a tow light cable from Ford that's JUST for that, and its a 4 flat plug on the end. I 'found' mine in the compartment on the left where the jack is. Just peek in there with a light. It was still in the package. Otherwise call Ford, the thing plugs in and you route it down and there's a bracket to hold part of it under the bumper to an existing screw location.
-Cheers.

Fender brake lights not working

You should probably check the multi-function switch. This is the turn signal switch assembly. The brake lights on most all vehicles, are routed through the turn signal switch, and then go to the rear of the vehicle. This is done because the brake light bulb on many vehicles is used as a turn signal bulb as well, and there has to be a way to break the connection from the brake light circuit to allow the turn signal to operate on the same bulb. Use caution when checking or removing the multi-function switch assembly, as you must remove the protective cover from the steering column, and there is an air bag harness located inside. If in doubt, always refer to the manufacturer's service guidelines for making any repairs in or around the steering column.
