Need a serpentine belt routing diagram for a 2008 Pontiac montana

well it did not fall off
so pencil and paper draw out yours.
takes 5min work, no service manual to buy.
it depends on what 3 engines is there now.

seen here. (USA only car) exports ive no clue.

the manual covers that.
buy it ,or even the glove box guide, lost?

Usually the belt diagrams are under the hood or near the radiator in many cars. However, if you type "2000 pontiac montana belt routing" into Google, you will find the diagram.

pulley on which belt is routed is worn out or belt is not original.But original parts and see if that makes a difference.Or the belt is not getting routed properly.

The serp belt tensioner will be in between the alternator and the power steering pump. Use a 3/8 ratchet and insert it into the square hole of the tensioner. Rotate the tensioner to remove the tension from the belt.

It doesn't hurt to draw a picture of the belt routing before removing the belt. Most GM's will have a diagram of the belt routing. I think yours is located on the plastic cover that is near the water pump.

If you don't have a diagram the belt is routed like this.

From the crank pulley the blet goes to the a/c compressor then under the water pump pulley then over the power steering pump and the alternator. then down to the p/s pump, over the tensioner pulley and finally ending up at the crank pulley.

try to locate diagram of belt routing - Google "2002 Pontiac Montana (your eng.size) belt routing diagram" then click over to Google images. I know the belts run close but shouldn't be contacting anything but pulleys and idler
