Check if there is a ignition or fuel fault . When it shuts own remove a HT cable from a spark plug, hold the terminal end close to the engine block while a helper works the starter ,the spark must jump 10mm or more, Spark OK ? must have a fuel problem ,Check fuel pressure and flow. if flow low replace fuel filter an recheck, if pressure is still low, check fuel regulator and pump.
A it's starting to run rough and stall what happens if you spray a little carb spray into the throttle body? Will the idle smooth out?

Try cleaning the inside of the MAF sensor, the throttle valve and the idle speed control valve, then disconnect the battery for 5 minutes and drive for a day or two, this should correct the problem or make it better.

these vortech motors have a spider fuel delivery , prone to leak and fuel regulator also problematic , smell fuel under the hood after cranking ? get both parts , experience with repair is suggested

Now I have a whole new problem(abs lights started coming on and the gauges all died while driving at which point the car just stopped and woulkd not restart)thinking alternator(the battery works great in another car)
