92 3000 gt has no spark through bottom coil. i changed the coil and the ignition control modual.still no spark.what do i try now

Sounds like the tech is probably correct. Time to replace the modual.

can we start from the beginning, what happened. are you getting power to the ignition. ? with ignition on is there power to the coil ? test these with meter...

I would make sure you have voltage to the coil. Could be a fuse or relay problem. Is the check engine light on when you turn the key on ?

You need 1st to trace back. Do you have spark at the coil?

pickup coil in the distibitor bad or if tbi or multiport
change the crank sensor / cam sensor last ignition control moduel

There's a coil pack that usually sits right on top of the engine. Follow the spark plug wires. Usually the coil pack won't fail completely you might lose 2 cylinders but not all 6. Are you getting a check engine light? It could be the cam or crankshaft sensor, they send signals to the coil pack via the power train control modual.

the modual is what the 3 coils mount to. Each coil is for two differant holes. Each coil is bolted to the modual. If you unbolt all of the coils and pull them up that is the modual.

You sure you don't have any theft codes in the system?

use a test light and see if power is going to the coil. if yes then use a spark tester from a auto parts store. it will have settings for your vehicle. if the spark is not big enough it's just the same as not having one. then change the coil. if you don't get power before the coil have the ignition control modual checked. if bad replace it. good luck.

change the distributor cap and rotor. Cap could have a hairline crack you cant see causing the charge to bleed out.

On some of these the black relay on the shock tower supplies power to the coil, and the relay can fail. Swap it with the black coil on the other shock tower, they are the same.

The ignition power stage fails, and especially the rpm sensor. Have you checked the trouble codes?
