Do not adjust the handbrake, it is not necessary. You can adjust the new brake shoes for a better brake pedal and this will also take care of the hand brake. This will have to be done with wheels off and lugs reinstalled to keep the brake drums in place. Sometimes the adjuster is difficult to reach and do not over tighten. When the rear brakes are properly adjusted you should have 3 to 4 clicks on the handbrake.

break pads are easy to replace......this is what you should do
things you need: hex keys for if the bolts are socket like....or a good pair of plyers if they overlap.......
1. open you cars hood
2. remove the cap off you brake fluid reservoir.
get some fluid out of it first.
3. now its time to remove the tires.
4. ok look at the rotors and you should see the calipers.
5. its time to get the calipers out.
6. unscrew the bolts "there should be two only"
7. now that you have taken the calipers off take the break pads off aswell.
8. make shure you dont twist the hoses too much or they will break.
9. now its time to compress the caliper cylinders...
10. if you have a "c-****" get it out get one of you old break pads and place it on top of the cylinder, then get the c-**** on it and start twisting until it compreses back,"be careful not to go to far"
11. if you are successful compressing them...now its time to get the pads on.
12. make shure you put them right "the one that clips goes in the cylinder and the other one goes in at the front of the rotor.
13. dont missplace them or they will not work well.
14. if you are succesfull puting them back were they belong, now its time to get the calipers back on the rotor.
15. make shure that your calipers move freely, because if they dont them they will produce excessive friction and perhaps even rotor wear
16. its time to check the fluid. make shure you dont over fill just a little bit below max line is good. because as your brake wear and so will the fluid go down.
17. put tire on and start driving just a little bit...make shure that your brakes work and you should be good to go...

Bearings are pressed into the hubs...much easier, faster and economical (if you don't have a press) to replace the complete bearing/hub assembly, no pressing is needed, since bearings are already pressed into the new hubs. Cost..aprox, 60 buxs each.
Here are the steps for the rear replacement...
Loosen the lug nuts on a rear wheel. 2) Chock the wheels and jack the rear of the car on the side with the lug nuts that you just loosened. 3) Remove the wheel by removing the lug nuts. 4) Pry open the dust cap covering the center of the axle/spindle. A small screwdriver tapped into the space between the hub and dust cap will work well for this. 5) With the dust cap now removed, use a thin center punch to straighten the little dent in the rim of the spindle nut so that you will be able to turn it freely in the next step. 6) Use a 32mm socket and a large breaker-bar to loosen the spindle nut. Unscrew the nut all the way and place it in a clean, safe area. 7) You should now be able to slide the hub/bearing assembly from the shaft. 8) Installation is the reverse of removal. Use plenty of high-temperature wheel bearing grease on all surfaces before you mount the replacement hub assembly.
IMPORTANT: Torque the spindle nut to 134 ft/lbs....(per manual specs)
When reinstalling the dust caps, tap them gently into place to avoid denting them...Install wheels, jack her down and pat yourself on the back...job complete.

I know they make a tool for everything, but I got the piston to retract by using a large screw driver and truning it back in. Took 5 minutes for both.
