Every car needs fuel, spark and air to start. To check and see if it might be the starter pulling too much amperage, turn on the headlights and try cranking it. If the lights go out or dim, it means the battery is weak/corroded connection or the starter is drawing too much amperage. Have the battery tested, if ok, test the starter.
Sounds as though the battery is no good,
unless you know otherwise & also had it tested
Charging a battery doesn't address it's internal
condition
You have battery cables that corrode inside & can be
voltage drop tested
You have the starter & solenoid, ignition sw & such, to name
a few, lots of possible causes & things to check
SOURCE: starter motor does not seem to engage all the time
Your starter solenoid/starter motor is going bad and needs to be replaced/rebuilt.
Usually it is the Solenoid as the contacts get burnt/eaten away, and not enough current can flow through it.

Take your battery cables off one at a time and clean the inside til the metal is shiny, also do the post. Emery paper or fine sand paper will do it. Reclamp the terminals and try it again. Corrosion on these cables will not allow enough voltage through to operate the bendix and spin the starter, but there is enough voltage to light the dash but not enough to operate the starter.
SOURCE: 2004 Pontiac grand prix gtp won't start- fully
it is the alternator brushes cheap and tanks little time to be replace and the brush who is clicking
SOURCE: My battery is fully charged
Usually----- if you get absolutely nothing- you have a bad connection where the ground is connected to the frame or where the main (+) side is connected to the starter or the main fuse block.
SOURCE: 2002 toyota prius warning light - car with exclamation mark
The light that looks like a car with an exclamation mark in the middle of it is the HYBRID WARNING light (see diagram below) You must scn the onboard computer network to determine why this light is coming on. You also need to scan your computer system to find out why the engine keeps dying. If the hybrid batteries are discharged, they must be properly recharged to prevent serious damage.
CAUTION: Read ALL service and warning lables in the engine compartment before attempting ANY type of service on a hybrid vehicle. The wiring harnesses that have ORANGE connectors are HIGH VOLTAGE connectors and can cause serious injury or death.
DO NOT touch any wiring harness or component that has a HIGH VOLTAGE warning label on it.
My recommendation is to tow the vehicle to a qualified hybrid repair center (preferably the dealer) and get it properly diagnosed and repaired. The high-tech, high voltage systems in this vehicle is nothing for anyone but a trained, certified technician to be messing with.
