sound like the radio died, rpelace it with aftermarket.

if it turns over you probably have a broken timing belt.... it will need a new head if it did.. check to see if you have fuel pressure and spark... if the car doesnt even turn over you probably need an ignition switch.

If you are asking ,will my car work,or not if i delete the alarm system control.
I honestly don't know about that one,you might need to contact a dealer,or ford servace department.

If it's after market, just disconnect the power source. If it's factory, good luck! You might verify when you lock with the key, you unlock with the key. Don't reach through the window and unlock. (if window is down!)
A lot of cars are integrating the alarm and everything else through the radio. Have you changed or upgraded your radio lately? If so , you will need to get new code for the radio to match the car system.

I know this is going to sound stupid, but I've done it before, did you put he car in park? You might also want to try it in neutral also. If neither of these two tests work, you can try to jump across the solinoid on the fender well. Don't stand in front of the car, and make sure that the parking brake is set, just in case it starts and tries to run you down. If jumping across the two big posts cranks the motor, chances are either the solinoid or the electrical half of the ignition switch is bad.

the jetta has a faulty alarm system from the factory i have been working on one in my shop. the alarm moddule is inside the dash behind the light switch and has a 10 pin connector and a 6 pin connector. this can be bypassed if you disconnect both connectors and jump the two large wire on the 6 pin connectors, these wires operate your starter. the car will start and run but your alarm will no longer be active. the door locks and everthing else will still work. the only issue i am having is the factory radio isn't working because it is controlled by the alarm. but worse case scenario i can use an aftermarket radio if need be.
