Question about 2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue
I replaced the blower motor in my wifes 1999 Olds Intrigue. The new blower motor is OE equipment and runs great. The only problem is that it won't turn off. With or without the key in the ignition, I have to unplug the connection to turn it off.
I suspect a short somewhere in the system. When I plug in the fuse, it sparks.
Run's continuously ? High speed , low , med 1,2, 3 . ????
Probably the high speed relay contact's stuck closed . The fuse for the high blower is hot at all times , low blower fuse is hot only with key on. It sparks becaused the motor turns on . If it had a short the fuse would blow . The blower motor relay is part of the resistor pack near the blower motor .

THe blower motor is under the dash. You will have to take out the glovebox and half of the dash to get up in there, but if you have the time and the energy you can fix yourself. Will have to disconnect heater core hoses under the hood

It is most likely a module, most of the time they are near the blower motor, maybe mounted to where it will go inside the blower box to keep cool, this controls the fan speeds only

y are u replacing the switch,,is it because the fan is not working on any setting???if that is the problem,,ck the blower modular out they go alot,,but if it is a switch,,their are screws in the bottom of the center, that hold the bottom down,,the rest are push clips,,take a flat head or a butter knife on the side off the molding a prie,it a little it should pop out
