SOURCE: Dump Valve Seat Leon Cupra 1.8T

As you may know your car already has a dump valve, all turbo cars are fitted with one so its a matter of swapping, but beware if you do not fit a recirculating dump valve you may find a warning light on your dashboard as the ecu will register the drop in pressure as a leak, also you may find your performance will be worse, not better as the waste gases in a recirculatory dump valve are forced back in to keep the turbo spinning, so less lag

either thermostat is playing up or the head gasket is starting to fail, often another cause is the plastic impeller on the water pump comes loose and doesnt turn ,so no forced circulation just thermo syphon ,best advice from here in spain is to get a local garage to have a quick look and see if they work out exactly the problem

SOURCE: my oil light keeps flashing on my seat leon fr 1.8

hallo
check oil preassure (should be 2 bars/2000 rpm. at working temperature) if OK, check oil pressure sensor- change.
if not OK could be bigger problem (leaks, bearings, or turbine problem..)

2002 seat leon 1.4 The engine warning light

I bet you have a bad spark plug or ignition coil (or distributor wire). It sounds like a cylinder is misfiring, causing the error message, then when it fires up again the code is cleared and the message goes away.
