My 1993 BMW 325i radio turns on, but after a few minutes fades to no sound. Turn it off for a several seconds and comes back on but quickly fadws out again. The same for the CD player and all radio bands. Almost like a resistor or capacitor is heating up and failing. Any ideas?

This problem is most likely caused by the stock Blaupunkt amplifier which is located in the trunk on the drivers side behind the carpet that covers the inner fender.

Reset oil maintenance light on a 04 bmw 325i

-press and hold the left instrument cluster button
-at the same time turn the key from the off position to the first position (just until the radio lights up, if the check engine light comes on you have gone too far and need to try again)
-after a couple of seconds the display around the odometer should change and say insp or os reset at that point let go of the button and press and hold the button again
-when the word in the odometer area starts to flash let go of the button and just press it like you would if you were resetting the odometer
-at this point it should say end turn the key off and back on again to see if you were successful (it may take a few tries before you get it)

How do you change the time on the clock in a 2001 BMW 325i. The manual does not say and my clock is running 8 minutes behind.

there is a button located on the end of the turn signal that controls the clock function on the dash and the radio clock.

Radio continues to fade in and out, plays for awhile fades out

Need more information on this if possible.

It may be the speed volume is enabled on your radio, does it fade out when you start to come to a stop? Some vehicles have a speed volume setting in their radios in which the radio raises and lowers the volume during driving conditions, like when your comming to a stop, the volume will automatically lower and during faster driving speeds will rise to a higher volume.

Hope this helps
