Well one day while i was driving my temp gage went up to hot so i turned the heat and everything on like someone told me to do when you are overheating because i thought i was overheating well i also noticed my gas gage had moved from a lil under full to above full so i went home and the next day my dad came and started the car up and both gages went right up to full and hot and theres no way the car was hot it was like 30 degrees out and the car hadnt ran for like 12hrs and before all this happened my service engine light came on so i took it to walmart and they said the cat converter was plugd i havent got that fixed yet but then i was driving home and my break line broke and my gages messed up the day my dad fixed that. If anyone has any ideas wats wrng plz let me kno. ty

You'll have to find out what's causing the check engine light. Take it to Autozone, have it scanned for free then get back and let me know what they say.

Your electric fan is probibly not running.Fan switch,fan relay or the fan could be bad.If it is getting hot and you pop the hood you should hear the fan running.

check the fuses and relays under the hood or your instrument housing may be cracked or damaged

That dash board uses ribbon connectors to connect to the wiring harnesses. Make sure the connectors haven't come free. You can pick up a used one that works from a parts yard for about $25 and replace the old one. This all assumes that the fuses for the dash are in good working order. The only reason I recommend replacing the cluster is because you lost too much at once and this could be caused by a short on the board that controls it all.
