Grinding gear going into reserve

There is no syncro mesh for reverse gear. However, if you put the car in 3rd gear before engaging reverse, it should go in every time. Good luck..

Cant shift in to 2nd gear but all other gears

Is it a Manual Transmission or Automatic? If it's a manual, it sounds like your syncro's are going out on your transmission for 2nd gear. You will probably need a rebuild or replacement.

1989 Ford F-150 4.9L 300 inline 6 cylinder 5 speed stuck in 3rd Gear? any solutions

If your clutch master cylinder is good in all other gears: you can disengage and, shift the other gears with the engine not running and, you have the correct amount of clutch fluid
in your clutch master cylinder: to release the clutch:
you have a broken 5th gear syncro and, a bent fork
remove the transmission and, when you remove the shift cover you will
see the problem; you must drain the transmission case remove any metal debris; remove the gear set and, replace the syncro...the fork can probably be
re-straightened use clean, new case oil when you reassemble the transmission.

Bad syncro for third gear. Sorry, but you aren't fixing this one yourself, unless you replace the transmission yourself.

I am assuming it is an manual trans. The transmission has wore the brass syncro. The only fix is full dismantling and replacing the wore parts.

1992 ford explorer manuel transmission getting it into gear

Try putting it in 2nd, then 1st, if that works, sounds like you clutch is bad or defective. 1st gear has no syncro to slow the gears down, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th do.
