1997 Firebird window motor

How to I remove the window motor from a 1997 Firebird? I have found some directions from some other websites, but they aren't working. The first step says to put window in halfway position. The problem with that is the window won't go up or down. What do I do?

Need a diagram for a windshield wiper motor for 1997 firebird

I have a 97 Firebird that has this issue. Sometimes when the wipers are used (number of passes makes no difference) they stop in the non-parked position. I've studied the schematic and will remove my motor one weekend and check the park relay soldering and contacts if it has a removable cover. I suspect that when the wiper switch is turned off the park relay is failing to allow the wipers to park.

2002 firebird power wind just stopped working in the down position

I'm pretty sure that the power supply (and fuse) are shared withn both windows. So, if one works and the other doesn't, then it's probably not a fuse.
That means it's probably the window switch or the motor. And the F-bodies have a known issue with the window motors. The motor can be replaced.
I would suggest opening the door panel, verify the switch is OK and replace the motor.

Intermittant problems with windows and radio not working simultaneously

This happened on my 2001 Firebird. This is due to bad solder on a component called a Body Control Module, found near the kick plate and glove box. Takes about 2 hours to fix. Here's a very helpful website that details everything.

The driver side power window will not work on my 2001 trans am

You will need to remove the interior door panel to access your window motor and regulator. Before doing this make sure you check your fuses and they are all good. Once your door panel is removed you can use a 12 volt test light( available most auto parts stores) to check for power to the motor. Look at your motor, there's a connector on it. Depress the locking tab on the connector and remove it. Using your test light point probe the end of the connector, touching each terminal, while moving your window switch both up and down. It would be easier to have someone help you by moving the switch because doing it one handed can be tricky sometimes but it can be done. If your test light lights up while moving the switch this means you've found the power wire, make sure it lights going in both directions. If so, your window motor is bad, you'll have to replace it. If not then you have a problem with your circuit, either a switch, relay, or wiring problem. It's a good idea to get a manual so you'll have a wiring diagram, if you know how to read wiring schematics, but not necessary to check the basic stuff. Hope that helps.

No heat in 1997 firebird

this sounds like a air temperature control blend door motor issue.
