Shine the flashlight on the brake pedal arm to illuminate the stop light switch and the stop light switch mounting bracket. Unplug the Ford pickup's brake light wiring harness from the switch by hand.

Unbolt the stop light switch from the stop light switch mounting bracket using the box wrench set. Take the old switch down by hand and place the new switch on the bracket.

Bolt the new stop light switch to the bracket with the socket set. Plug the brake light wiring harness into the Ford pickup's new stop light switch by hand.

The alternator is bad, this is the way foriegn car makers do things, when the alternator is bad or going bad and if it has a bad diode the dash lights will light up like the batt and brake and sometimes even other waring lights, replace the alternator and the problem will be sloved. good day,

could be a number of things the fuse, the brake light switch u can locate the switch if u want 2 do it ur self is were the brake peddle is or a broken wire hope this helps

have you 12 volts at the brakelight bulb holder?as with a lot of pickups the wires on the body get broke i would say a broken wire live/netural/ground good luck.adrian,,,,,,

On the brake pedal bracket. It has a push in switch to provide a contact for lighting up the brake lights
