Transmission shift hight

I have a 1994 golf with 1.8liter engine with automatic transmission Sometime teh transmission shift very hight.They change the sensor on the transmission and i still have the same probleme.What can i do to fix the probleme

Sounds like your in limp mode. Check engine lights on? You could just have a brake light switch issue. See your dealer.

SOURCE: Automatic transmission won't shift into drive

Check automatic transmission fluid using dipstick, if fluid is low the automatic g/box tend not to shift properly. If the fluid level is fine you probably have an internal gearbox problem or a sensor problem (see a mechanic).

The 01M and 09A automatic transmissions do not have a dipstick and procedure requires measuring and maintaining a specified ATF temperature (which is neither cold or hot, but in between) during the ATF level checking. Special Volkswagen tools are required for this operation and it is therefore recommended that ATF level checking on 01M/09A transmissions be left to an authorized VW dealer.

2004 aveo auto trans. will not shift into 4th gear after an eng. change

Sometime s its kind of hard to tell for sure with and automatic if it has shifted into high gear .You say new engine installed check the linkages and all shift related parts if it shifted before and nothing was changed it should shift now
Also take a look at the interlock switch on the side of the transmission it is derectly linked to to the shift lever on the coloum

Stop driving immediately that should fix your problem , don't shift an auto age a manual if you wish to change gears.

Automatic Transmission shifts late and rough after warm

If it has over 60000 miles it may need a transmission service, which includes a filter and fluid change, fluid may look fine but if filter is clogged and not picking up fluid fast enough when u give it gas the pump spins faster and forces fluid thru to shift, more fluid is needed to shift into higher gear.than to drive
