I have a 2000 Ford ranger I put a radio in the other day now I have no dash light or tail lights what do I do

Check your wiring and fuses you likely have a short some ware .I would start at the radio hock up look for melting and burning on wire jackets if you don't have a plug in connector on the radio that fits into a connector that is in the harness of the stock vehicle you need to trace any wire you cut .

No dashlight or rear running lights. brake lights and turn signals still work

Did you check proper fuse circuit for voltage? Use a test light to check for voltage. The tail lamps voltage comes by way of headlamp switch. Voltage for tail lamps is pink wire with blue tracer, goes hot when you turn on headlamp switch. Ground should be ok because the other lamps work.

I installed aftermarket radio on toyata corolla 06. everything worked fine except for dash light dont come on and tail lights dont either. checked fuses and none are bad. help plz!!!!

You have probably connected the dash auxiliary wire with a wrong wire on the aftermarket radio. Such scenario should pop a fuse and probably kill the lights. Try disconnecting the radio and see if that solves ur problem. Then u probably need to rewire.

My dash board lights dont work when i turn my headlights on and ive turned the brightness up and still not working, any solutions? and also, my aftermarket radio doesnt work anymore do these problems...

gday mate, geoff here, seems like you may be right, if the radio has been fitted to another fuse, ie the dash light fuse which may well also run the tail lights, alternitavely the new radio may take more power than the original, usnig higher power for more volume, features. check fuse amperage and corrct, look to see ( if you can ) to see the original wiring hasnt been tampered with, if so correct and try again, best i can do without being there, hope this helps, geoff.

I replaced the stock radio with an aftermarket one and my tail lights and dash lights dont work now

Most likely you got the illumination wire for the stock radio grounded. The stock radio has lights in it that are connected to the dash lights to illuminate the dials of the radio. Most aftermarket stereos don't have a hook up for that. The wire may have got hooked up to ground. I would check the fuse to see if it's bad. Also you might want to undo the new stereo, replace the fuse, if it's bad, and check the wires for battery when the headlights are on.

98 ford windstar no dash and tail lights

you have to check all fuses with a test light both fuse boxes under hood and under dash... if good next to look for is the light switch itself... has any radio work been done to the lately... if so alot of times hooked up wrong will blow park fuse as one of the wires to radio is the park voltage to tell radio to dim down some
