Probably the bulbs are burned out. Either ask a mechanic or pull the bulb out of the back light assembly-it's pretty easy on the Yaris and see if it looks dark and burnt out. If so, take it to an auto parts store or a Toyota dealer for a replacement and insert the bulbs into the socket.

have someone pump the pedal and hold it, then you work from the right rear, left rear, right front, left front, while the person pumps and holds several times at each wheel.

If you put your foot on the brake, the tail lights and parking lights will still come on. Possibly your brake is sticking. Check to see if it is and if it is put WD40 for a quick fix. See a tech for them to fix your brake alignment. Good Luck!
