How can l time engine pulley and cam gear, and distributor in Suzuki escudo G16B.

just like all G16b's

"16valve' on the valve cover?

http://www.fixkick.com/t-belt/16-fast-belt-install.html

see the 2 false timing marks,, consider them first.
if you buy the best belt ,Gates, it comes with instructions
and the distributor does not need to come off...

but if doing a new head?, with distributor out here is
the method.
http://www.fixkick.com/IGN_timing/16v-procedure.html#fastplant

firing order 1,3,4,2 CCW rotor direction, do not read the books that fib about this direction (most do) not suzuki books, they show it correctly.

Is there a timing belt and performance difference on the 1.6L 16V engine type ? i was told that there's something to do with E/I position? sidekick/vitara 1994 lwb 4 doors if it matters.

no, the E and marks are for 2 engines.
E mark for G16B (16valve MPI engine)
I and E marke are for the twin cam engine, (see link for deeper facts)
see?
if you use the wrong marks, the engine will not run
and compression falls by 1/2 from 180 psi to 90 or less.

the G16A is different 8v head, yours is the 95HP, 16valve head.

http://www.fixkick.com/IGN_timing/16v-procedure.html

covers all ways to do it right and wrong.

Can a 95 Suzuki esteem engine work with 89 Suzuki sidekick engine parts like the Pistons, rod bearing , and pin

no at all.
the 89 sidekick has a G16A engine
the esteem uses a J18 or G16B engine.

the G16A parts match G16A parts.
the B engines, have special pistons, fly cut for valve clearance.
mixing A and B parts will not work.
A = 8valve
B = 16valve
the J18 is 1.8L and is twin cam and totally different engine.

why not find a good short block? and build from there?
in the USA (car is rare )but all G16 blocks can befound
from 1989 to 1998, a 10 year span on trackers and sidekicks.
and esteems.
next time post displacements, so we can know what is there.

How to remove and install timing chain on a 1999 1.6 4 cylinder Suzuki Vitara ?

no less than? G16B engines 1992 to max. (usa)
the suzuki FSM covers this, buy one.?
  1. Alldata.com to, log in and read. (google that, it's a #1 site)
  2. or at suzuki pit stop plus. https://suzukipitstopplus.com/Products/1037-1999-vitara-grand-vitara-service-manual.aspx
  3. $4 to look there.
  4. if you buy the Gates belt? and read the sheet in the box !
  5. or here. FREE.
  6. http://www.fixkick.com/t-belt/16-fast-belt-install.html
if , M/T tranny ,no special tools are needed.

watch out for false cam marks, seen in #6
Suzuki uses parts off another engine, and even fails to warn
you in the FSM , sad that.

FSM= the offical, factory service manual.. all cars have this.

Why grand vitara wont start? turns but does not fire

2.5L engine? v6.
you broke it , didnt you.
the 2.5L has no belt so its not 2.5L , 2.5L is CHAIN,(i own one same year)
must be a 4 cylinder engine??
and G16>
world wide GV have these engines
1.6 L G16B I4 (petrol)
2.0 L J20A I4 (petrol)
2.5 L H25A V6 (petrol)
2.0 L RF/RFM I4 (diesel)
2.0 L RHW/RHZ I4 (diesel)

only the 1.6BL gas has a belt.
lucky for you its not an INTERFERENCE engine or boom.
I also have A G16 suzuki and know how to time it.
the G16, must be cam timed at #4 cylinder firing, never #1
this is stated in the gates belt page, the FSM and alldata.com
and here.

after changing the belt , i always check that i have my 170psi
compression back (wideopen throttle) or its all just a waste of time.

its not the CKP unplugged, as this engine runs with out one.
fact.
here are all G16b steps.
and nice photos. and the false marks, that is correct, suzuki
gawd love em. uses the cogs on 2 engines. 3cyl and 4cyl.

No spark from ignition coil to start the engine of suzuki vitara16v EFI engine. what is the cause of it

what year? what country? sounds like suzuki G16b engine. is it? or 2.0L?
The reasons are the same basically for G16 or the 2.0L
Both engines have ECU.
Both need good fuses to power ECU and coils.
Both engines need working CMP.
my guess is this is a distributor engien G16b (YOU SAND COIL NOT COILS.)
1: fuses, test the fuses relate to ECM/PCM (3 fuses)
CEL LAMP MUST BE ON KEY ON OR ECU HAS NO POWER.
2: g16B( CRANK FOR 5 seconds), with scan tool connected.
A $50 tool that is indispensable.
P0355 or P340 DTC , bingo, no spark.
or while cranking RPM is dead at 0 RPM.
if all that passes, then check the coil signals. (@ minus term)
The coil has an ignitor in the dizzy and both can go bad.
recap.
power 12v to ECU
CMP working
ECu sees CMP and sends spark to dizzy ignitor.
Ignitor , drives coil, coil makes spark ,engine runs.
nut shell
