I just got a Tundra 2008, 4.7l engine. An error just pop up and disappear later in the day on the oil indicator lamp on the Dash board. What does this signify. I cannot find a service manual in the car. Can i get an electronic copy from anybody? Also, can anybody look at the manual and tell me what it meant.
If you mean that the oil light was illuminated on the dash, it means the vehicle has no oil pressure, or it is dangerously low. You should check the oil level immediately, and if it is full, you should have a mechanic look at it. It cannot be run or driven if the oil light is on! Being a 2008 I would assume it is under warranty, atleast the 60 month 60,000 mile powertrain warranty. The old Tundra 4.7 engines had problems with the oil pressure sending units, but I havent seen any new trucks with that problem, and no service bulletins.
