Hi Godfrey, Have the ABS sensors inspected and have the defective one(s) replaced or cleaned. The ABS speed sensors double as speed sensors for the gear changing and speedometer. Regards John

Hey Todd I have a 2005 5.7 dodge magnum and it won't change gears as i speed up while driving also speedometer stopped working
EASY ONE.... Your VSS (Vehicle SPEED SENSOR) stopped working and it is this Sensor that gives the PCM/ECM the information to change gears. Once you change your VSS, and get it working, the Transmission will start working again...

I am Assuming that the Transmission stopped working at the same time the Speedometer did? Is that right?

If it is, then this is a easy fix. 1 bolt and one Wire Connector and DONE....

    The speedometer is operated by a cable to the transmission. The gear selector is also a manual linkage. Neither are electronic. There may be something stuck underneath inferring with them directly.
