Off and on my car would stick in third and the battery light would appear. Sometimes after a few miles it would shift and be normal then it would happen again. Then one day my electrical (radio ect. ) went out and everything went haywire. All the indicator lights (airbag, seatbelt) flashed off and on and my lights would make clicking sounds. After a mile or so, the car was still running but not moving. What is wrong and what needs fixed?! PLEASE
SOURCE: #5 cylinder misfire
I have a corolla and had #4 cylinder misfire also diagnosed at autozone. After changing the spark plugs, problem persisted, along with the same error code, so they recommended changing the spark plug wires, and that is what fixed it. I would have changed the rotor cap too, but was low on dough. Glad that was not the problem.

Drive it into a dark place, or wait till dark. When it's running poorly, see if you can see any spark flying around. It sounds like plug wires.
