The light comes on as the temperature gauge jumps toward the red, yet it does not overheat. The thermostat has been replaced twice; hot air comes through the vents and there is no apparent leaks anywhere. The radiator, the temperature sensor, the hoses, and the radiator cap have been replaced with new. 2000 jeep grand cherokee idiot light comes on even though coolant level is full, + the temp is @ 210 (normal?) no white smoke from tail pipe to indicate head gasket leak. my daughter called and said that anti freeze was pouring out, when investigating found no apparent leaks from any lines, hoses etc. I did however notice that it came from the top where the coolant spout is located. when opening spout after it cooled it seemed a little easy to remove (like it was not on tight. However when topping off coolant and then starting and driving vehicle the idiot light flashed above " coolant low what is the problem!!??

If the cooling fans are electric (as they are on the '03 Cherokee), replace the fan relay.
If the cooling fan is clutch driven off the water pump, be suspect of the clutch. But you also need to check that the radiator is not gummed up or the lower radiator hose is not collapsing.
yes 210 is well within the normal temp range of any modern engine, 240 is overheated.
