Where is the Selenoid?

I need to fix the selenoid on my 1994 toyota previa, but I'm not sure where to find it. I know what it looks like, but don't know exactly where to look. If someone can let me know, that would be great. Thanks

It's making the "selenoid click" I was hoping it would be separate from the starter. Thanks for your help, though

The starter solonoid is located on top of the starter. The starter on a Previa is located on the left side of the engine. If you open the the inspection door under the drivers seat and take a light and look toward the back of the engine you will be able to see the starter. But the starter is not accessible thru the inspection door. you will have to raise the van up and remove the starter from under the vehicle. Make sure you disconnect the battery cable at the battery before attempting to remove the starter. You will need to purchase a solonoid rebuild kit from the local auto parts store, (they will probably have to order one), or purchase one off of Ebay. Good luck

If it is the starter solenoid it is in the starter. If it is the door lock it is inside the door panel

You might try looking at the battery to make sure it has a full charge (it could be as simple as a dead battery)

Transmission

This has nothing to do with the shift solenoid switch. It is a failure of the ECM computer module. If your car is less than eight years old and less then 80K miles, it is covered by warranty

If not, the part is about $550.

My pick-up truck wont start it had a bad starter so i replaced the starter, then the battery died....but in the same day...i decided to just use other truck and give it a jump start, but my truck was only...

Based on your description, the starter selenoid is not getting enough juice (current) to pull up solidly. So, causes are:
1. Low battery voltage
2. bad connection of battery+ at the battery or at the selenoid terminal.
3. bad ground connection between the starter selenoid and the truck chassis.

If you want to bypass the selenoid, you can place a jumper cable on the "FAR" side of the selenoid (the side that feeds the starter). Then momentarily touch the other end of the jumper to the battery + terminal.

If the starter cranks, then you have confirmed the selenoid as problematic. Remove it and either replace it or disassemble and clean it.

2003 Ford Focus p1747 short solenoid error

THIS IS A COMMON CODE.. THIS IS A PRESSURE SELENOID LOCATED INSIDE THE TRANSMISSION.... SOMETIMES CALLED A SHIFT SELENOID... THERE IS A FIRST TO SECOND SHIFT SELENOID AND A SECOND TO THIRD AND A THIRD TO OVERDRIVE... THE SHORT CIRCUIT CODE CAN BE TWO THINGS.. FIRST A BAD SPOT IN WIRING HARNESS CAUSING SHORT CONDITION.. DOUBTFULL... OTHER CONDITION IS THE SELENOID ITS SELF COULD BE GOING BAD DRAWING MORE CURRENT THAN NORMAL. THIS WILL REGISTER THIS CODE....YOU HAVE TO REMOVE THE TRANSMISSION PAN TO EXSPOSE THE VALVE BODY.. THERE YOU WILL SEE SEVERAL SHIFT SELENOIDS...WHEN YOU PURCHASE THE REPLACEMENT IT WILL GIVE YOU A GOOD IDEA WHAT TO LOOK FOR....THEY JUST PLUG IN AND 1 OR 2 SCREWS HOLD THEM IN.... LET ME KNOW IF MORE HELP NEEDED
