Clutch change when changing gears i feel the clutch pedal weak with no pressure and don't have to step on it fully to change gears. is there any way to adjust while i can change it or do i have to change clutch before it stops changing gears.

if it has a hydraulic clutch ,the problem is a failing clutch slave cylinder not holding pressure
the leak is probably from the slave cylinder
the indications are that the clutch pressure plate is not properly clearing the clutch plate and the drag is causing the problems

Try adding a Nulon additive to your oil.

The cable needs adjusting to be tighter. You should have no more than 1 inch of free play (no pressure) on the pedal before you feel pressure. There must be an adjusting nut or screw, maybe held tight by a locknut that needs loosening first.

if you getting a good pressure from the clutch pedal, change out the shifter bushing, that will help some. if you get a poor pressure from the clutch pedal, pressure plate has weaken, need to change out you pressure plate, throw out bearing, since your in the clutch system i would change out the pad also. Old vehicle and high miles, heavy trucks, its common. also check the slave cylinder, make sure it good working operations. worn rubber seal inside slave cylinder will cause a blow-by when press down the pedal therefore, causing to have a weak clutch pedal and hard to shift/engage into gear, same way goes for weak pressure plate. Sounds like you need a new clutch... I doubt the minor adjusting available will help.

The pedal will work fine.. if fully out.. is there a little play at the "top".. you know where you can press gently on the pedal but nothing is engaging.. while driving.. if so.. the pedal is probably adjusted just fine..

The clutch material is either worn .. or the pressure plate/diaphram is weak or has a broken spring.. either way it needs attention..if you replace or have the clutch and pressure plate replaced.. have them resurface the flywheel and inspect or replace the pilot bearing too.. then check the master and slave cylinders while they are at it.. no sense in dropping that kind of money and not have those few things considered.

Parts/kits are probably in the 150 - 200 dollar range..Centerforce makes a good kit.. I wouldn't even hazard a guess on labor.

Well, it sounds like the clutch cylinder / clutch linkage is not properly adjusted or the clutch cylinder is not fully bled, or it is malfunctioning -- it's not fully depressing the pressure plate when the pedal is pushed down, therefore, the clutch is still engaged.

The clutch pressure plate might be weak in the manual transmission.

I wouldn't worry if it doesn't cause a problem in changing gears, until you have the clutch changed, if you ever get that far.

CHECK BRAKE FLUID IN CLUTCH CONTEINER. IF IT IS MISSING, ONE OF CLUTCH CILINDER IS BROKEN.FIRST CHECK IF INSIDE THE CAR BEHIND CLUTCH PEDAL CAN BE SPOTED SOME BREAKE FLUID FROM CILINDER. IF EVERITHING IS "DRY", YOU HAVE PROBLEM WITH CILINDER ON TRANSMITION. ON SOME MODELS ARE OUTSIDE GEARBOX AND EASY TO CHANGE, BUT SOME HAVE BUILT IN CILINDER IN CLUTCH BEARING. IN THAT CASE YOU HAVE TO REMOVE GEARBOX, REDUCTOR...CHANGE CLUTCH TOO

Might be time to change the clutch.

check make sure the clutch master cylinder working properly along with slave cylinder. both master and slave don't have to leak fluid to be faulty, the rubber seal inside the unit could be worned and when apply pressure the fluid blow by or seep between the rubber seal causing the the unit not to work properly giving you a weak feel and pressure at the pedal. both unit have to work properly in sync. if one are weak you will have the same issue. clutch should have a good tight feel not sloppy or weak. pressure plate will also play important role, weak pressure plate will also give you a weak pressure feedback from the foot pedal and also will cause the synchronizer in the transmission not to engage and work properly. check this basic item fist before messing with your tranny. clutch master and slave cyc are fairly cheap to fix and replace.
