My check engine light and oil light came on so I took my durango to advance auto. They put the computer on it and gave me these codes. They were really busy so they told me that I could go online and find out what they meant.
Trouble Code: P0456 EVAP System Small Leak Detected Possible Causes: Automatic Transmission Control System Malfunction Possible Causes:
Fuel tank cap is damaged, loose or the wrong part number.Small leak present somewhere in the EVAP system. Trouble Code: P0700
The presence of this code means the TCM detected a problem.TCM related Sensor has solenoid is damaged or has failed. This code is for information only - check for other TCM codes.TCM or PCM has failed. CODE P1521 IS WRONG OIL TYPE.DID YOU DO THAT?
SOURCE: I have a 2004 Dodge Intrepid SE and the check
P0700 code is a generic code for Transmission Control System Malfunction
P1776 code means your solenoid switch valve is stuck in low reverse. (DTC 47) A stuck solenoid switch valve is a common occurrence in the valve body of the Dodge 41te transmission.
The first step would be to check the wiring to the solenoid from the TCM, then maybe try a new solenoid pack if the wiring is determined to be fine.

P0456 = EVAP Emissions Control System Leak Very Small
Is the gas cap on tight or is the seal damaged? If it needs replacement, get it from the dealer.

hello po442 ,po455,po456 is leak detected possible, check the gas cap , basicaly you have a leak that is larger than 0.020' and smaller than 0.040' in the gas evaporative system use your nose to find this one thanks
SOURCE: Error Codes P0700 and P0605
0605 is for an Internal Control Module Read Only Memory (ROM) Error. This is typical of a malfunctioning computer. If the computer is bad, your retrieved codes are probably wrong anyway. May need to replace computer, drive, then see if if your check engine light returns.

The code that tells why it died is the P0068 the throttle position sender. It can be bad but they usally last a long time. Other sensers can have troble and pull down the 5 volt reference signal and it'll make it appear that the senser is bad. You can pump the gas very quickly many times and make even a good car set this code. The computer sees a smooth signal from the senser it'll set things back to normal and it'll run just fine. The senser can be teated with an OHM meter center pin of the serser to one or the other outside termial. with the meter making a good conection. the senser should make a smottth change up and down and return to the same value as you started and never go off scale, the other terminal should do the same thing but only in the opasit direction. If it doesn't its bad but a new one stick in on fire it up and run down to the store and have them erease codes telling them you replaced the bad part and need to reset. Even then they sometimes won't do it as some stores have run into troblem with the wrong customer and they don't reset codes anymore. Then you'll have to go to a shop the has a code reader or a scanner to reset the light and or buy your own but about $80 is the cheapest you'll see for a reader that will reset (erease cdes) on OBDII vehicals. good luck
