How do I remove the upper intake manifold on a 1995 Maxima? I've removed all of the nuts from the front portion of the manifold (noticing the nut came off of a piece of threaded rod that is sticking up on the far right side of the manifold) does this need to come out as well and if so how? Are there any bolts holding it down underneath near the fuel injectors?

Unplug each injector one at a time and use a multimeter to check the resistance between the terminals on the injector. they should read 10-14 ohms

You can also unplug each coil pack one at a time and see if the rpm changes....this is a lot easier than unplugging each injector

I have a 95 Nissan maxima and smoke and gas coming out my tail pipe I was told that it was my was fuel regulator all I smell is gas when i my start car can some body plz help me find the problem plz

It would be unlikely gas is coming out of the tailpipe. The fuel regulator can leak internally and externally. If there is an internal leak with the regulator, the vehicle will be overfueled and will run poorly if at all with black smoke out the tailpipe and most likely the check engine light on/flashing. You may experience a fuel smell. If the regulator is leaking external, there will be a definate fuel smell. You may also have an injector or injector seal leaking as well. Depending on the engine size 4 or 6 cyl, it can be hard to spot an injector leak. However, a fuel p;ressure regulator can easily be located and checked for a fuel leak.

I'm getting fuel out of the exhaust pipe along with white smoke on my '95 jimmy, the smoke just started after I changed the fuel injectors and EGR valve, any solutions?

raw fuel. = black smoke , and its dripping liquid fuel out exhaust ports. (a fire bomb it is...danger)
is engine stock? (like day one out of factory)
for sure the injectors are stuck on, or being told to by ECU.
the only question is why !
Is this TBI car or MPI (1 injector or 4)
must be G16B MPI. (you said Injectors....)
so do the injector balance test.
you key on and off and look at pressure drop with injectors
unplugged 1 at time. you find one that leaks ,easy that why.
google injector balance test, youtube has many to see.

changed what does change mean
new
used
hotrod injectors
rebuilt. (i hope this) and are the correct PN injectors.

95 Park Avenue Ultra dies for no reason I can find, I've replaced the crank sensor, cam ssensor, spark module, fuel filter, I've had the injectors tested, fuel pump tested, plugs & wires t

As you have probably figured out by now, you will have to treat it as a no start and troubleshoot it when it fails to start. Until you figure out if you are loosing spark or fuel to the injectors when the engine dies you have no direction to go in.

1997 nissan maxima wont start

Hi there:
You will have to pinpoint what the engine is missing... spark / fuel / compression

All three of these are tested when the engine is being cranked over. There are two way of checking for fuel. Fuel pressure and fuel trigger. Both are very important and must be present for the engine to start. Fuel pressure is self explanatory. You just hook up the gage and see what the reading is. Fuel trigger is check with a noid light. The injector gets unplugged and the noid light gets plugged in to the injector clip. With the engine cranking over, this light must blink. This is the signal to the injectors from the computer. You can have all the fuel pressure in the world, but it wont matter if the injector is not pulsing gas into the cylinder like it should.

Compression tester, spark tester, fuel pressure gage and noid light are all accessible at your local auto store. All three tests play a very important part in diagnosing a no start condition. Be extremely careful when doing these tests.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using FixYa, have a nice day.

My 95 Riviera needs fuel injectors well that's

it is pretty common on the 3100 and 3400 engines, you should do a pressure test at the fuel rail first to make sure the fuel pump is working.

I hav a 95 maxima and my bro drove it till it ran out of gas.Ever since then the engine light has come on and it takes alot for it to turn over when starting. Sometimes the battery dies before itll start.I...

Replace your fuel pump. When you run a vehicle completely out of fuel, you will pull all the sediment off the bottom of the tank, and this will indeed clog fuel injectors, but first it will clog your fuel filter. After replacing your fuel filter, purchase a high-octane fuel injector cleaner, and add it to your fuel tank as specified on the side of the fuel injector cleaner bottle specifies.

Misfire on #2 cylinder reading code 1320

It's possible the fuel injector went bad on that cylinder.
My maxima did the same thing until I figured out it was the fuel injector the whole time.

If it's working properly, it should make a clicking noise. Best way to test it to unplug the wire connector to the injector and put 12v to it. It should click every time you appily 12 volts. ( warning, don't take the fuel injector off the fuel rail. GAS & SPARK don't mix)

I have a 95 Maxima I changed the fuel injectors and now the car wont start.  so i put the old injectors back and it still wont turn over,  It stay on for about 2 sec can anyone help me

I assume you bled off fuel pressure before you installed the injectors. Try this to pressurize the fuel system. Turn the key to "on" position and wait 5 seconds. AT same time, listen carefully for a buzz sound that means the fuel pump is running to pressurize the system. It will shut off after 5 seconds. Then, turn off the key and wait 30 seconds for the computer power relay to shut off. Then, turn the key to "on" again. Thsi will run the fuel pump for another 5 seconds. Repeat 5 times. Fuel system should be pressurized now.
If it doesn't start now, you may have done something while you were changing the injector. good luck
