is your check engine light on? it could be a clogged fuel filter, or the throttle body needs to be cleaned or a sensor. ecm could be going bad. email me back if none of these work

this could be a cracked vaccume hose , doing this , and a 1987 is surly old enough to have some pretty cracked hoses on it too

There is not really a wheel bearing. It is called a CV Joint. They are pretty difficult to change. If you do try it yourself then you will have to have it re-aligned.

Did you do any testing ? Fuel pressure ,electrical - power an grounds to all the components ?

If it's surging, make sure your radiator is full. Do a tune up, plugs, wires, etc. Put some fuel injector cleaner in your fuel tank. On a cold start the vehicle compensates for being cold by adding fuel. Once it warms up the computer tells it to quit adding extra fuel. If it is a bad sensor of sorts, check engine light should come on.

Then you likely need to rep[lace the fuel pump, check the pressure at the test port on the top of the engine. If the pump is the problem you must drop the fuel tank to access it. Also change the filter if a new pump is needed.

make sure your fuses are ok and youve got power if ok check the blinker sender unit its usually round and silver with 2 or 3 wire going to it. usually under the dash but could be in the engine bay
