I need help fixing a problem Im having with the NAT System on my 2005 Nissan Navara outlaw. I live in Australia and I have a Spanish build 2005 Nissan Navara originally purchased in the UK. Problem CIC have is Nissan Australia cant access the ECU as it is not compatible to the Australian versions. My problem started when I tried to install an after market stereo. Once the connection to the old stereo was disconnected the NAT light stayed on the dash while the car was on. All worked fine besides this. I read on here to disconnect the battery which may reset the computer. But when I did that I cant even start the car with the key. I get the acc reds on but wont kick over. I did this in the Nissan dealer ship incase something like this may of happened. And turns out Nissan are no hope to me here.

This is a long shot...I know but for what its worth....
The Taurus has in much the same lay-out as the European Ford (e.g the old Scorpio). You should find two large fuseboxes under the hood near to the windscreen (one each L/R). When driving in rain humidity enters these fuseboxes. This can give ANY funny combination of effects. My car started blinking with headlights, horn waking the entire block and a lot of other fenomenas allthough shut off and key out. Try taking out all fuses (map them on a sheet of paper) and enter some compressed air at short range into each and every fusecontact.
(Just in case ...if you have a towinghook with a connector...do the same with these contacts)

I just had this same problem with a '96 . do you have a vats key in your '94? you need to bypass the VATS system. read some of the blogs on this site and it will tell you how to do it. I fixed mine with a $2 resistor from radio shack.
