My Toyota Prado LJ78 1992 with 2LTE efi enhine 2.4ltr turbo diesel
EFI loosing speed uphill due to electronic Gov. does not speed up
engine rpm even you press pedal to the floor, pls advice.
Flat road no problem, air sensor/air filter renewed with no result, no
smoke emition as well engine should be good only I think the
EFI system not working properly, EGR is already cancelled as well
line is block,
Cylinder head
What i did to overcome the same problem to my 2lte efi is 1.upgrade my turbo fan to larger size
2.adjust position of my fuelpump
3.make sure the green turbo led on dash working when boost pump in(should check the air tube to sensor for leak)
Did you ever resolved your loosing speed uphill because I have the very exact same problem with you and I have the very exact same car with you also and I don't know what to do to resolve it. Please share what you did if you had resolved this issue. Thanks!
Just manually open fully the main intake manifold (automatic when turbo pressure created, maybe not working)

did you know what is that ?
my is same uphill
I have a 3.0 turbo diesel 2000 model toyota prado glx and when the main fuel tank is in use it will chug and lose power when trying to increase speed and when going up hill but as soon as I switch over to the sub tank the problem disappears. Is it a dirty fuel filter or a hole in the fuel line?
