Well the engine is fuel injected, so no carb is used.
Base idle is set at the factory, and the computer adjusts idle speed depending on load by controlling the amount of air entering the throttle body thru the idle air control valve.

SOURCE: I have a 2002 GMC Safari that I need to how to

The idler arm will be bolted to the passenger side of the frame with 2 bolts. It connects into a tapered hole in the center link, you will need a "pickle fork" tool (a long rod with two prongs, like a fork) and a large hammer, to seperate the centerlink from the idler arm. You'll need to put the fork between the idler arm and the centerlink, and hit it with the hammer until they seperate.

1996 GMC safari wanders on highway

sounds like you have damaged front end parts. When my van did the same thing I had to replace the tie rods and idler arms and get an alignment. I believe it cost me around $800.00

Recently had new idler arms installed along with new shocks all around. Van now seems unstable...sways. Could torsion bars need adjusting?

When you change the two idler arms did you have the front end aligned? It could be possible that the alignment is off. If you are having to put alot of input to the steering wheel while driving that may give you the sway feeling you are describing. The torsion bars control front ride height and should be checked as part of the alignment. Hope this helps.

How can you adjust the carburetor on a 1987 GMC safari van V-6

If the carburator has never been rebuilt, or the plugs that were installed at the factory have never been removed, you need to remove those plugs, there is one for each idle mixture screw, at the front of the base plate on the bottom of the carburator, 1 for the TPS adjustment on the driver side front of the carburator, and one for the mixture control solenoid on top of the carburator, in the middle, towards the front.

My 1994 Safari engine struggles at times. I think it may be one of the vacuum lines or the PCV valve. Not sure though?

chances are your fuel pump is dying. vortec engines run poorly on low fuel pressure. min fuel pressure is 52psi. max is 55 psi

as you can see there is not alot of wiggle room
