The alarm system somehow got activated , this is usually because the battery becomes discharged or disconnected try doing this:
Remove the key from the ignition
disconnect the negative battery terminal
put the key back in and turn to ON
exit the truck and leave door open
reconnect the battery terminal
get in and leave door open, if the alarm horn stays off it should start.
I had the exact same problem. My Toyota dealer without hesitation said the battery was bad. The horn beeped the entire time until I got the battery disconnected. I took it to our local Autozone. They tested the battery and said it was bad. While installing the new one the horn went off a couple times, but once fully connected it stopped and I was good to go ... until the time when that battery went bad. This happens every 3-4 years and every time it has been a bad battery.

First step, see what is missing when it wont start, fuel, or spark. Is it carburated? or fuel injected. (22re should be injected.)

I would check the fuel pump relay under the dash in the passenger side and check the efi relay first. After that i would follow the wires to the fuel pump and the engine harness for any shorts.

If the immobiliser is not an issue the next time it happens remove the starter relay and swap with any other relay except fuel pump and ignition. Some times just pulling out and replacing works as the contacts on the relay do not have a good clean contact and provide too much resistance.Sure sounds like a relay begining to fail.good luck

it sounds like either your having a short at the starter or the ignition switch is bad, I am leaning towards the issue being the starter, usually when the ignition switch is going bad there will be no click,
