Some Manufacturers have a 3 setting switch on the Dome light and some have doorlights which are linked to the position of the Ignition switch.

The Dome light has a setting for OFF, Entry, and Constant ON. The normal position is Entry.

If you think it may be a fuse or relay, go to Autozone.com and register your vehicle for FREE wiring and Fusebox diagrams.

SOURCE: Fuel Door will not open on Altima

Try having somebody pull on the gas door as you pull the release inside the car. The black clip you dropped may be a spring to push door open when release is pulled. If that does not work you will have to remove the plastic trim pannel inside the wheel well and unbolt gas door from the back side. That may be difficult if you've never done before. Good luck.

SOURCE: I hear a clicking noise

I believe you have a ground short in the main fuse wiring or at the main fuse location itself. Try locating it and as the suggested Tech from Firestone advised , replace the main fuse. frank

Interor lights not coming on when open doors

It can have two reasons. Firstly it can be due to a faulty fuse in the fuse box. Try checking it out. The other reasons can be the malfunctions of the door sensors. Check them out both...and i guess your problem would be sorted out.

Where is the fues for back door in odssey

The fuse box for the sliding back doors and the tailgate are in the 'secondary fuse box' under the hood:

#2 40 amp fuse - Left Power Sliding Door
#3 40 amp fuse - Right Power Sliding Door
#4 40 amp fuse - Power Tailgate

Don't know if you were referring to the doors or tail gate but if you were talking about the doors and trying to use the button to open them, make sure the MAIN switch is in the ON position or you will have to open manually. Any info, including fuse locations, are located in your owner's manual

Hope I was able to help you, please rate my post if this works out for you.

2006 BMW X5 Door open message, inside light goes off & on, and the alarm keeps going off

You have a defective door ajar sensor switch. The switch is located on the door latch of each door inside the door. In order to find out which one is the cause of the false warning a trip to the dealer is required so they can scan the systems control module while the warning is on. If you want to guess start by replacing the drivers door switch first.

Power windows stopped working and replaced the main switch but still not working . where is the fuse for the power windows?

Locate the fuse panel just to the left of your steering wheel, facing the driver's side door.

  • 2 Open the panel by pulling the cover outward. Look at the fuse listing on the inside panel of the fuse box to identify the location of the fuse you wish to replace. The location and amperage of each fuse varies slightly between all Ford Explorer models, so it's important to check the corresponding number listed on the inside fuse panel.
  • 3 Use the fuse puller in the fuse box and carefully remove the fuse for the electrical malfunction you're experiencing. Examine the fuse to see if it's blown, represented by a burned-out wire. Compare it to another fuse that works if you're are unsure.
  • 4 Discard the blown fuse and replace it with one of the same amperage. The amperage for each fuse is listed on the inside cover of the fuse box.
  • 5 Replace the fuse puller and cover the fuse box. Start your Ford Explorer and check to see that the electrical issue is resolved.

    REPLACE ALTERNATOR FUSE

I'm guessing you are talking about that large fuse in the under hood box? They are bolted into the box. You'll see small doors on the side of the box where the fuse is that you can pry open. You look inside and you can see the bolts holding the fuse in. You usually have to get to one from the inside of the box (flip the lid up) and other from the outside (little door you pry open), just be sure you unhook the battery while you are doing this.

Fuse box location and how to identify the fuses.

your fuse box should be under your driver side dash... near the floor on the panel it should tell you what fuses are what if not check you owners manual. and depending on which fuses you are talking about there is also one located under you hood but they are rather large fuses nothing that should ever really need to be fixed.
