Bought a used lincoln mark lt truck, need to find teh master code for the key pad on the door

get out of car with the keys then lock all door and hood trunk etc. open car with the key then retry starter

The universal lock number for ALL Lincolns, and Fords is...press 8 then 9...:) The factory 4 digit code to unlock the door pad is located in the trunk under the lid...sometimes hard to find...You can get free help with this from your local Lincoln/Ford dealer's service manager...they sometimes hace to call the Ford national contact number to secure the factory 4 digit code for your specific Lincoln. There are other uses of the key pad too. Be sure to be persistent with the dealer or national hot line...they can help:) Hope this helps.

Remove door panel. Remove retaining nuts. unplug power. pull mirror off door from outside.

Under the ash on the drivers side, on the cover of a black box .

Hold on to that actuator. Lincoln products have a longer warranty than most vehicles. We had the same problem with our 2006 LT and it was replaced under warranty. There is a thermal control sensor that is the problem.

I found out that most Ford products with Digital Climate Control have a self-diagnostic built into the control head which is your dash control. There is a sequence of button pushing which makes it work and a Code book just for the A/C. Dealers have the info.

Our A/C worked perfectly and we even got a complimentary oil change and tire rotation. I believe the Warranty is a minimum of 5 years or 60,000 miles.

the codes are not store in the vehicle computer, therefore you must replace the key pad if you lost the codes.

call dealer give them your vin # and they will give you the #,most times they will have you come in with ID and car registration to prove its your car.good luck.

Here is the procedure to marry a new remote to your truck.

1. Close all doors and then open drivers door and press the UNLOCK
button on drivers door panel while door is open and insert key in ignition.
2. Turn ignition from OFF to RUN (not start) 8 times within 10 seconds, with the
8th time ending in RUN. Door locks will cycle to confirm programming
mode.
3. Within 20 seconds press any button on first keyless remote.
Door locks will cycle to confirm programming.
4. Within 20 seconds, press any button on second keyless remote.
Door locks will cycle again to confirm programming.
5. Turn ignition to OFF.
Locks will again cycle to indicate end of programming mode.


Both the Escape and LT program the same - the transponder should have the same resistance.
