On my 1999 BMW323i I can not get the doors to open with the ignition key or the button inside the car. I can only open the passenger door manually, that is inserting the key at the door handle. Some times it works fine, but at times (frequently) I can not unlock the doors even with the door handles from inside the car. My mechanic (not a BMW expert) says it must be the key. Is there a way to test if it is the keys or a switch or something else?On my 1999 BMW323i I can not get the doors to open with the ignition key or the button inside the car. My 2001 330i intermittently has lock problems. When the problem occurs, the key only works manually in the driver's door (this model does NOT have key access through the passenger door). The other doors will not open, either manually or with the console 'unlock' switch, or with the key alone, or with the key in the driver's door! What is wrong, and what can I do to fix this. Having passengers crawl over the console to get out is very strange!

One night, while driving my 2000 E46 3-Series BMW 323i, I tried to open my sunroof, and heard an omnious loud crunch; it sounded as if my sunroof had ...
Both E36 and E46 models have oil filter under the hood, towards the front of the block. You will need a special socket to remove the oil filter cap and once it's out, can replace the filter. Make sure to replace the gasket on oil filter cap, it should come in oil filter kit you bought.
yes it will fit i have done it , if you wont to be sure get the diameter of the friction part and go to a automotive suply shop and get them to look in ther guide and it will have yor clitch size diameter
you need to reprogram your remotcontrol by doing this
1, turne the ignation on and trun it off
2, prassed and hold the unlock botten and prasse 3 time the open botton
3, relesed all botten then the door well open and closed normal
I'm not sure if yours is an E36 or an E46 model. On the E46 a common AIR BAG error light is caused by the stretching of a cable underneath the driver's seat when it is slid back and forth (usually when vehicle is shared by different height drivers!). Unfortunately the solution is replacing this cable (quite cheap), then having the code read and extinguished by a code reader at Bmw (-expensive hourly rates though). Some other places have code readers like vehicle electrics/alarms specialist -but the cable is still needed to be replaced first (2 min job) -I think ebay has one at the moment (but compare prices with Bmw Dealer parts prices first). Check Google with airbag light and Bmw E46 (there's shed loads of info).
