91 accord wagon 2ND FM PASS SIDE SPARK PLUG CAP KEEPS POPPING OFF

I don't know why. I just put in 4 new bosch platnium plugs with the four post on each plug. I think they are called platnium four. I have noticed that when the car starts it really fires up hard..if that makes sense. there is also alittle oil on the outside of the plug connecter. I had also put a new gasket and plug seals on the valve cover. Thanks for any help.

Distributor position of a 1985 Oldsmobile Calais 2.5 l tech 4? i know its 1-3-4-2 but where should 1 be?

fwd four cylinder, looking under the hood, number 1 cylinder is in on the left, Cylinder numbers from left to right, 1 2 3 4. Put the number one piston on tdc of compression stroke, whichever spark plug tower the rotor is pointing at or leading into, in the proper direction of rotation, cw, is the number one spark plug tower. Then follow the firing order around the cap, in proper direction.
I could have posted picture of cap, but, in the past, I've seen where those pictures were wrong. Just my opinion.

My 1990 honda accord keeps backfiring after new spark plugs wires what do i need to do

sounds like you have the wrong firing order for the spark plugs.

The firing order is 1-3-4-2 going clockwise around the cap.

I have a 91 honda civic and need spark plug wire diagram

Fire order
1-3-4-2

Cylinder #1 will be the one closes to the fan belts and so on 1-2-3-4, on the distributor cap there should be a # 1 stamped on it, put cylinder # 1 spark plug wire on that one, install spark plug wire in firing order clockwise on the cap, the cap some time's might even have the firing order on it.

Part keeps popping up from engine?

It sounds like you are describing a spark plug wire and the spark plug is inside the hole the plugs and wires should be changed about every 25,000-30,000 miles it helps the engine run more smoothly and economically.

Replacing spark plug wires

It's gotta be 5.7 V-8 . As u stand in front of the suburban facing the front bumper, there are 4 spark plugs on each side of the engine. The front (of the engine) plug on the drivers side, is plug #1, the front plug on the pass. side is #2, then back to driver side, next plug back is #3, back to Pass side, next plug is #4 etc. to #8. The distributor cap (spark plug wires go from dist. cap (9 wires on top) to each spark plug, Extra wire goes to coil, which sends spark to all wires). The wires fire in the following order: 1, 8, 4, 3, 6, 5. 7, 2. You will have to find where the #1 spark plug goes in the distributor cap, some (hopefully yours ) have a #1 on the top next too where the wire plugs in to the cap. If u find this u r good to go! Put #1 wire in, using a pushing/twisting motion, the wires go in in a clockwise order from #1 as u look down on the distributor. Wires to spark plugs go on w/ same push/twist. You should hear/feel a slight click or snap (not always though!) if inserted all the way. Let me know if this is enough info, if not I'll try to give u more. If u can't find where #1 goes on the dist. cap, stand on the driver side of engine, I believe #1 is at approx. 8 oclock position on the dist cap. Good luck!

No spark in one cylinder

Hi,

Pls try to check/replace your distributor cap and/or the rotor. A friendly reminder, pls check that the spark plug gaps are within specifications, the wider the gap the the more arcing from the rotor to the bottom terminals of the distributor cap, the faster the burning/deterioration. If at all possible, try to replace with Bosch or Beck Arnley brands.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.
