I have 2002 Chevy s10 with ac issues. All blend doors and actuators work properly. Clutch engages on compressor. Blows warm air when ac is on. When I put a guage on it the psI stays on max and doesn't change. Could my compressor be bad and the clutch still engage? I've never seen a compressor clutch engage and compressor bad, is it possible. I think I've eliminated all else

Yes. When you turn on the compressor via clutch Suction line pressures at around 3000 rpm should be around 30 PSI. If pressure stays high it is because the compressor is running but it is not doing squat and needs replacement - bad reed valves.

SOURCE: a/c stopped working, the clutch still engages, fan blows warm, found no fluid leaks

the air blend door inside the heating / cooling unit that sits under the dash is probably not moving. there is an electric motor and control unit that moves the air blend door (assuming you have the electric dial or push button digital controls. some of these vehicles have a valve that shuts off the antifreeze from cycling through the heater and if it remains open then you would get "not hot" but just warm air.

2001 chevy S10 No heat or AC

all cars with Hvac, same answer an newer more.
V6 engine?
all fuses good
the blend door motor or controls are bad./
but wait car is 21years old wana bet 2 or 3 things wrong.
what year did heat or AC cold ever work rigth.
what I do is on blow high.
I fix heat first. as that can fix AC next. see and is far less work.
1: fuses good. all.
2: make sure engine coolant hits 180f first or more if not the thermostat is NO GOOD ,7 year live and is 3x that now,???
3: all that good I put my hands then on the 2 heater core hose and both are to hot to hold there hand flies off. or TODAY for 10 years now mY IR gun $15 shows 180f on both hoses for sure hot and same. if not core needs to be flushed, I use hose garden there,.
4: ok dampers are bad.

easy no?, get heat first.
the damper may becalled the blend door, and can stick in any wrong position, even half cold and hot, so both fail.
ac on , ac compressor spins due to clutch there engaged.

let me now see your dampers, I bet are not cable drive. (NOT )
but motors. yes! (Drive + gears)
$15 motor, +door
the cheezy door is plastic, and its axle too and they can break.
no fun ever that last one.
5 doors in this beast, recirc door must close for sure AC cold wanted.
check out this drawing,.
A AND B MUST WORK RIGHT FIRST.
for sure B is bad, IMO.

2003 Ford Windstar AC is not working. It only blows out hot air. The blend door act. works properly(We have already tested it). There are properly freon in the Vehicle. We are at a lost. Please help

Can you tell if compressor clutch is engaged? If clutch isn't engaged only the belt pulley will be moving and the compressor clutch is not engaged. If not engaged, no ac.

Can you check for applicable hvac codes? To check codes, your-self, at the least, you need an obd2 code reader, that will check manufacturer specific codes as well as po.

I haven't looked at your wiring, you could probably check voltage and ground for compressor, hvac on.6158ef87-8677-4b29-952a-e287698970b5.jpg
In the diagram, you see applicable fuses--clutch relay-- the top wire at ac clutch is voltage--black wire is ground.

How do i know if my ac fuse is bad, since i do not get cold air after filling with new freeon??

There could be several problems. If the a/c is properly filled with oil and refrigerant, and the compressor is working, the line from the compressor to the condenser should be hot. the line from the condenser should be uncomfortably warm. The line from the evaporator should be quite cold. If all this is so, the air inside should be cold. If not the actuator in the dash that operates the blend door may be broken or the blend door is stuck in the hot position. I hope this helps:)

Air blows cold in rear but warm in front vents.

If it is cold in the rear, that eliminates the "freon" part of the system. (It apparently has enough freon and the compressor is apparently working.)

So that leaves you with a blend-air door problem on the front A/C unit. That may be a blend-air door actuator, a broken blend-air door, or a faulty control head. (Proper diagnosis required)

2002 pontiac grand prix gt AC only blows hot air compressor full of freon and clutch spinning good temp control actuators working corectly narrow ac tube at firewall very cold thicker ac tube at firewall...

i had same problem 2 years ago. the actuator door tube was snapped in half and i used acquarium tubing to splice together. The tube runs along the passenger front well well inside engine and meets under the battery carriage. I could not tell anything was wrong without removing the battery to get a closer look. works like a champ now.

Also: there is also an inline venturi filter that fits in the aluminum tubing on the compressor, it may be clogged. You will have to have the freon sucked out to replace the filter. Check back with me so I can help more if this doesnt solve your problem.
