Heater not working, blower does work but not hot

The blower for my heater works but the air is not hot. I drive a 1997 Ford Contour. I've had a lot of problems recently with the cooling system. It was overheating for a long time and we've replaced about everything. We replaced the head gasket, the water pump, the raditor (twice), the radiator hoses, the coolant sensor (three times), the fan switch, the radiator cap, the thermostat (three times), the system has been flushed out twice and then they said they thought that the fan had a short in the wire coming from the computer to the fan so they ended up direct wiring it so that it runs all the time to keep the car from overheating. So now the fan runs all the time but the heater doesn't work. I thought it was because the car wasn't warming up enough to make the water hot for the heater to work but if you sit idle long enough the temperature gauge will go up and the heater still does not work. Any ideas?

Thanks

Sounds like Heater matrix blocked, check pipes going from engine bay into bulk head both should be getting hot if one is not then may be worth removing pipes and trying to flush it through as would be expensive to renew it as its a large job.

I have a1999ford contour heater/ac don't work I have replaced the blowermoter and restister and check the bender door is working!! so why isn't the ac/heater working???????

By A/C an heater not working , you mean the blower motor isn't running an pushing air through ducts an vents . Before replacing parts did you look at a diagnostic flow chart an check power an ground to the blower motor . We test not guess ! Videos on youtube for testing blower motor circuits . No heat blowing cold air.

Do you smell coolant inside of the vehicle. If so then chances are your heater core is going.

99 ford contour gauge shows running hot. Change both sensors near thermostat and the thermostat. Flushed system and burped it. Ac or heat makes no difference. Fans seems to be working. Any ideas?

Is it ACTUALLY overheating? Check for heat at the top and bottom radiator hoses, and at both heater core hoses. If one is cold then your radiator or your heater core may be plugged and in need of a individual flush.

Heater only works on low only it does not blow much hot air air conditioner also

High and low speed on demand is delivered by the same blower. Blower is controlled by the blower regulator. When a regulator is bad, a variable speed is not available. Replace the blower regulator will take care of the problem. Good luck.
