On some models the brake light switch goes thru the turn signal switch before getting to the bulbs.
You probably have power at the brake light switch if the 3rd light works.
I would check for voltage at the turn signal.

Lok in the trunk on the left side, behind the carpet for a small plastic box with a bunch of wires going to it. Look to see if there is brake light powe coming in with the pedal depressed. If so, and no power is coming out, you need to order and replace the "taillamp failure sensor".

Check the trunk wire harness right by the left side trunk lid hinge for broken wires. This is a common problem on these cars. If the wires are broken you will have to repair them. The best way is to add short lengths of wires to the breaks and solder them back together. Use electrical tape to recover the harness.

SOURCE: 1989 Toyota Camry. No brake lights.

It could be the relay, which is a yellow box located under the carpeting in the trunk on the left side. It is a problem common to your model. Also, check the brake switch's (behind the brake pedal) functionality (12V present with key at ACC or ON and continuity between wires when button engaged).

i hope this helps

I've got a problem with my tail light my other lights work when turned on but the tail lights won't come on, the bulb is dual filament the brake lights work I cant figure out why the tail lights don't

Did you change the bubs? Dual filament one for brakes one for Running lights. If the filament for Brakes is not burned out then Brakes will work and not running lights. Is both Running lights out or just one side?

Tail lights work but not brake lights 93 toyota camry

The brake light side of the bulbs is powered by the brake switch and travels thru the turn signal switch.
If the third brake light works, I would guess the problem is in the turn signal switch.

1993 camry brake light wont go off

In order of most likely...

1. Switch on your e-brake stuck/bad/out of adjustment. Try pulling up on your e-brake or locate the switch and see if it's working.

2. Low on brake fluid, check the fluid reservoir in the engine compartment. Sensor switch could also be stuck/bad, unplug from reservoir and plug back in, tap lightly with screwdriver handle.

3. Burnt out tail/brake light somewhere on the car.

4. Not sure I've ever seen a fuse make the light stay on, maybe the ABS light but not the brake light, but you never know.

My brakes work but my brake lights don't work i have changed thee switch and bub and none of the three bubs will work i need help

The next thing you should do is check the fuses. If you did this then you need to check for a wireing problem. I hope this helps. Don't forget to rate my answer.
