SOURCE: 1991 mazda b2200- timing belt changed

The keyway and or the dot on the crank should be line at 12 oclock. You will see a point on the oil pump housing to go by. On the camshaft the pointer will be at 12 oclock also. Use the O on the camshaft to the top at mark. Be sure to look at the dist. roter to make sure that it is pointing at the #1 spark plug wire. I could get 180 out of time. If you do it right it should start up right away. then you can use a timing light to finish it.

SOURCE: I have 1987 Mazda B2200 2.2 ltre, turns, fires, no fuel psi.

I had something like this before. There is a fuel saftey switch near the gas tank right by the rear end. Its a roll over sensor and mine fell off the mount and I guess the truck thought it was upside down :)

I think you have established that it is getting fuel but I guess what I would do is check into the throttle body itself.

Idling problem

need to adjust idle speed by turning air adjusting screw on throttle body idle should be 750 - 790 RPM. make sure spark plugs and wires okay. make sure distributor cap and rotor good.replace fuel filter do a little tune because if engine not fine tuned one bad cylinder will cause engine not to idle if you have fuel injection system clean fuel injectors by filling gas tank full add a can of seafoam to fuel tank see what happens.

My 89 b2200 cranks fine and runs as long as my foots on the gas it wont idle itself...ive put another choke thermostat on it but it still does the same thing???

Need to check carby for corect idle / mixture settings. Might have a blocked jet.

If you can remove the idle jet, blow compressed air into the hole, screw back in till it just bottoms out then unscrew 2 full turns to get started.

Idle s 2300rpm when cold, then revs between 1500-2000, while..

maybe vacuum leak or intake manifold leak. sounds like components are doing there job adjusting to air intake, matching the amount of air brought in with the amount of fuel that it would demand to produce correct emmission quality. check this out. you can use carb cleaner to spray around your throttlebody and intake manifold and if the engine idle fluxuates you have a leak.
