I had the same exact issue, the drain can be seen from engine compartment, its on drivers side firewall slightly above the steering rack, i used a piece of clear tubing to guide water away. The original method of expeling the water is fine , the problem is the material used on firewall to waterproof the drain, it deteriorates over time and water dribbles on the under side of drain and through the foam gasket that is supposed to stop it, by adding the tubing it directs the water down the tube instead of clinging to the firewall.

Wet floorboard 2004 toyota highlander passenger side

Often the floor of the passenger side become wet if the drain pipe of the evaporator is:
- Bent or twisted.
- Clogged or,
- There is any obstruction in its routing.
The drain pipe is a rubber hose about 14 mm in diameter, located just under the evaporator (cooling coil) casing on the passenger side.
The most easiest way to clean the pipe is to take it out, wash it from inside with water or to blow a compressed air slowly through its distal end while leaving it in place under the body.
Note: Keep your eyes away while blowing the air.
Hope that it works.

2007 honda accord rear wet floor

Check your trunk drainage holes for debris and check your door gaskets. If it is the drains, the water can back up and creep through the back. If it is the gaskets it could be coming right under the door and onto the floor.

1997 burick centry custom floors stay wet

its more likely to be the drain hole for the shuttle, were the heater gets it air feed from there will be a drain for the water to get out, can get blocked with leaves etc, you may need to get your hand down there and pull out the rubbish and poke your finger in the hole to push the debris out.

The rear window is bonded and i suspect this bonding has been damaged by water ingress then freezing and opening the gap even more ,use a hose pipe to have a good look and in the meantime drill a 3/8 hole either side in the rear floorwell to let the water out and to stop the floor fro corroding away ,yes iam expecting a remark from other experts about my methods but you cannot beat a good drain hole in the floor or the spare wheel well .Yes iam a fleet fitter who repairs things and not a dealer lackey unit changer who only fits all new parts to keep their bonus pay up and the boss happy

Wet rear floor

I had a similar issue and found that the two rear drain holes for the sun roof came off and any water was running down into the trunk and also the rear floor was always wet. I pulled the rear of the roof panel down to expose the rubber tubes, re-seated them with glue so they would not come off again.

Wet carpet under front Passenger seat

You have drain blockage in the condesor case itself. There is a small tube that will drain the condensor case, the big black plastic case that contains most of your a/c system inside the car. This case collects moisture and that must drain normally from the case drain to the outside of your car onto the ground.. If this drain is plugged, you will have leakage on to the floor. If the moisture is allowed to remain in the carpet, mildew will set in and then you will have to replace the carpet.
