SOURCE: Location of the fuel filter in a 1999 Lincoln Towncar
You DO NOT need to remove the fuel tank to replace this filter.
My 1999 Signature Series Town Car did not require the special tool. It
has two push out clips which hold the fuel lines in place. New clips
came in the box with the filter. The clips are off-white in color and look like
skinny versions of the plastic safety plugs moms use to keep toddlers from
sticking objects into electrical outlets in your home.
The fuel filter is located just below the rear passenger side door - along the outside rail of the frame. It May or MAY NOT require the special tool.
BEFORE YOU BEGIN.
Be sure to depressurize the system by turning the off fuel pump - either
by unplugging the cord in the left side of the trunk next to the hinge
mount or removing the fuse (#14 20 amp in the fuse box under the hood).
It's a good idea to take a picture of the assembly before starting to refer to when you reassemble it.
Spread some shop towels or rags on the ground to catch any fuel which runs out of the filter when you remove it.
There is a hose clamp holding the filter in its housing - loosen with a screwdriver.
Pop out the two clips then pull the fuel lines out of the filter at each end.
Wiggle the filter out of its mounting bracket, then install the new filter and reinsert the fuel lines into it.
Be sure the clips are inserted correctly to avoid leaks. TIghten the hose clamp.
Replacement took about four minutes and required only a flat-blade screwdriver. Clips pop out and back in with only finger pressure.
SOURCE: where is the port where you put freon in on a 2001 lincoln ls?
it is the one that is blue in color and has an L on it for low pressure. The vapor line is also called the suction line. If your confused, then choose the larger of the two lines near the accumulator.

hi there,
commonly recharging port at low pressure is located at suction line of your ac system,on sample figure you can figure out recharging port.
SOURCE: I need the location of the low pressure ac port
The lincoln better idea engineers put the low side freon port in a peculiar place.. You will find the low pressure port near the compressor under the car on the driver's side. You will need to put your car on a lift to get to it. Once you raise your vehicle, take the plastic shields off and you will find the compressor...yup...it's a tight spot.
Hope i was able to answer your question...be safe.

Service Gauge Port Valves
The high-pressure service gauge port valve is located on the A/C receiver drier manifold and tube assembly.
The low pressure service gauge port valve is located on the manifold of the A/C compressor manifold and tube assembly at the A/C compressor.
